How to Fix a Scratched LCD
It never fails: You just bought a new laptop and within a few days or weeks, small but noticeable scratches appear. But, with these tips, all is not lost!
Simple scratches can be fixed by lightly smearing Vaseline into the crack, and then carefully wiping away what’s not needed to fill in the crack. (Be careful not to remove it from the crack itself, though.) This works because the optical density of Vaseline more closely matches the LCD face than air. Another caveat: It wears off over time and needs to be redone.
Another option is to gently rub away the scratch with a white eraser.
