One of GalaxyVisions' eco-friendly efforts to save power is accomplished by the use of high powered exhaust fans and filtration systems which allow it to utilize the outside air throughout the winter months as its primary cooling system. This allows GalaxyVisions to shutdown its four primary air conditioning units which are not the traditional glycol systems used by the majority of data center facilities, which are unable to be shutdown. This practice will save power on Brooklyn's Con-Ed Grid, thus enabling Con-Ed to distribute power to more residential areas. Additionally, GalaxyVisions plans to decrease the temperature in its data center from 75 to 64 degrees allowing servers to work more efficiently, thus reducing the draw on CPU power and lowering energy consumption. By decreasing the temperature within the datacenter, GalaxyVisions, is able to save on energy costs and invest more funds into new technological advancements for the data center.

According to network security and product development consultant Matthew D. Sarrel, CISSP, data centers tend to be overbuilt to accommodate a maximum load of running servers. As data centers do not typically operate at peak loads, it is therefore possible for some air conditioning units to be shut off in the colder months of the year. In addition, newer data center equipment can be run safely at higher temperatures than some of the older models, so eco-friendly efforts are furthered by keeping the temperature at a higher setting resulting in significant cost savings.

H3's HipHopSodaShop Signs Agreement to Lease on Historic 125th Street.

NEW YORK, Nov. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- H3Enterprises, Inc. (OTC: "HTRE") has announced the signing of an Agreement to lease with an option to purchase a large commercial building on Harlem's booming 125th Street to house its flagship HipHopSodaShop as well as its new corporate offices.
